Face Validity
- Face validity refers to the extent to which a test or measure appears to measure what it purports to measure1.
- Thus, it is “really based on the personal opinions of those either taking or giving a test.”1
- Indeed, the importance of face validity relates most significantly to the perceptions of research subjects1
