When the biceps contract, the radius could dislocted “proximately”1, if the annular ligament did not prevent it1. Patients with annular ligament tears, commonly experience proximal and anterior radial dislocations during from the slightest degree of flexion following biceps contraction1.

The annular ligament is supported by the anterior fibers of the radial collateral ligament1.
