Function

SLAP Lesion

  • The compression rotation test
    • “was performed with the patient supine and by elevating the patient’s arm 90° and rotating the arm while applying an axial load”
    • “The test was positive if the patient reported pain or a click deep in the shoulder”2
  • “Active compression test was performed with the affected arm slightly adducted and forward-flexed 90°”
    • “The patient tried to elevate the arm with the palm up and then with the thumb pointing downward against resistance”2
    • Positive: “Pain in the front of the arm with either maneuver was noted, recorded”2
  • The anterior slide test2
    • “The patient stood with the hand on the hip of the affected side, and the examiner applied an axial load along the humerus”2
    • “The test was considered positive when this maneuver produced pain or a click.”
